Detailed Narrative Description of Project: Bangladesh, at the threshold of knowledge based society in twenty first century, needs wide use of internet based tools for keeping information befitting with the needs of the time. The scientist and scientific community of the country feel the urgent necessity of maintaining a data base in an integrated form for networking among the community in order to better coordinate the research and development work, so that not work be duplicated. In that line a work had been undertaken to develop a web page to maintain data base for scientist of Bangladesh.Collection of information’s about the scientists working in different academic institutions and research organizations of Bangladesh and abroad would be done. Preparation of a comprehensive document, cost-benefit review of technologies, and approaches appropriate for Bangladesh condition, list of local and migrated scientist would be maintained. This project is based on three fundamental assumptions. The first is that government information – whether created and distributed in analog or digital form – is a critical resource for academic scholarship, scientific research and citizen participation. The second is that web-based information is increasingly at-risk due to a variety of well-documented pressures. The third is that memory organizations (libraries, archives and museums, verified list of scientist must retain their historic roles as acquirers, organizers and preservers of content in the new networked digital environment. Review the scope of the domain of web-based information, focusing on the development of meaningful data such as size, diversity of formats, and rate of growth. Identify promising technologies and projects related to the capture, management, and preservation of this material; survey the managers of these technologies and projects to build an information base for the project. The project’s outline the requirements for stable and sustainable digital Designing And Developing Of Website And Information Database for Scientist of Bangladesh. |
